Its a growing area for Moderate housing a few miles from the bay bridge tunnel. The state park has miles of sandy beaches, boat landing access to the bay. You can view the sunken World War II ships that provide a weather barrier and reef for fish. It was the site of the ferry terminal before the bay bridge tunnel.

Marina Village & Colony is part of the Bay Creek Resort & Club development. This area is the old King's Creek Marina site. New Carribean style brightly colored pastel homes replaced the old dump site and marina. The new state of the art 230 plus boat slip marina is now home to shops, a great restaraunt and vacation homes.

Northampton County has been the site of most of the development on the Eastern Shore over the last 10 years. It starts when you drive off the 17 Mile Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. With only a handfull of red light stops for 50 miles, everyone needs to take the time to turn off left or right, either way you will run into the water.
